The University of Alberta Department of Continuing Dental Education is pleased to offer candidates for the NDEB Assessment of Clinical Skills an Orientation Session taking place on May 31, 2018 prior to the Assessment of Clinical Skills Evaluation on June 1st to June 3rd.
This session allows candidates for the ACS to become familiar with the facility, chairs and units in the clinic and the use of the equipment. This session will allow assurance of handpiece compatibility and candidates will be able to experience the advantages of electric handpieces ahead of the assessment.( Available for use from the School of Dentistry)
Orientation will begin at 5:30 PM in Room *TBA in the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy and participants will then proceed to the Kaye Edmonton Clinic where the Orientation and Assessment will take place. The clinical session will take place from 6:00 until 9:00 PM. During this time candidates will utilize their typodonts and equipment and supplies to acclimate themselves to the equipment and surroundings. Please note that this is an Orientation and not an instructional session.
Please download the Equipment Loan Agreement NDEB Exam registration form and indicate if you will be using electric handpieces from The School of Dentistry. (This is encouraged as our units have only one air line for air driven high and slow speed instruments. As an added benefit there is no cost to the candidate if the handpieces are returned free of damage. You may complete the handpiece procurement form in advance by clicking here.)
*Please be reminded again that this is an Orientation Session and no instruction will be provided concerning the ACS.*
