Inhalation sedation with nitrous oxide has proven to be an effective and safe technique for the reduction of stress in the apprehensive or anxious individual.

STRUCTURE
This Three-Day Course includes new course curriculum as required by the ADA&C.  Course content includes both didactic and practical hands on participation involving the administration of nitrous-oxide/oxygen inhalation and oral sedation. It is useful for practitioners who want to feel comfortable in utilizing this particular modality in their office. Upon successful completion of this course, registered Alberta dental hygienists will be eligible to apply for placement on the CRDHA nitrous oxide/oxygen conscious sedation roster.
